We have a hands-on approach to development and keep around 90% of the build in house. This gives us greater control over timescales, workmanship and the day-to-day running of each project, without relying heavily on external sources. From the first conversations around a site through to construction and completion, our aim is straightforward: to deliver well-built homes using quality materials, skilled tradespeople and modern methods of construction.
For private clients planning an individual new home, Mac & Burg can manage the construction of high-specification properties where workmanship, materials and attention to detail matter. Our experience of building homes from the ground up allows us to manage the practical demands of construction while maintaining the standards expected from a bespoke property. This includes working alongside architects and other professional teams to turn approved plans into completed homes.
We work with property developers and investors who need an experienced team to deliver residential developments to a high standard. Our hands-on involvement gives us close control over the programme, trades and work taking place on site. We understand the commercial pressures behind a development and the importance of managing the build effectively from the outset through to completion.
Mac & Burg has established long-standing relationships with private landowners and joint venture partners, helping to identify opportunities to add value to land and property. If you own a plot with development potential, with or without planning consent, we can discuss the options available and how the site could move forward. This can include putting together proposals, progressing opportunities through planning and, where appropriate, building out the site. Our joint venture relationships are based on open communication, transparency and terms agreed by both parties from the outset.
That principle remains central to how we work. We believe that quality materials and skilled tradespeople, combined with an environmentally responsible approach to construction, create homes that can perform well and last for generations.
Energy efficiency forms part of this approach. We are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our work and improving the energy efficiency of the homes we build.
Our direct involvement throughout construction also means we remain close to what is happening on site, allowing us to maintain standards and deal with issues as the work progresses.

This is particularly important on larger residential schemes and high-specification projects, where effective management and attention to detail can have a significant impact on the outcome.
